Jacquelyn Kmetz (formerly Babinski) obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Child Development and Psychology from Central Michigan University in December 2014. She worked as a juvenile probation officer for Montcalm County for a year and a half before starting law school. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law in December 2018. She worked for Elizabeth K. Abdnour, Esq., PLLC as a law clerk. Following her admission to the bar, she continued to work in that office as a Contract Attorney.

In March 2020, Jacquelyn began work as a Contract Attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Michigan (LSEM), where she represented students attending Flint Community Schools who have been affected by the Flint Water Crisis. Jacquelyn and some colleagues created MI AECRES, a nonprofit that provided education advocacy and legal representation to families in West Michigan, in February 2021.
